From television show hosts crudely pitching products for sponsors during the 1940's to professionally created commercial advertisements produced throughout the 1950's and 60's featuring sexy women, movie stars, sport celebrities, funny animations and catchy little songs (jingles). Television commercials allowed companies to pitch everything from Alka-Seltzer to Volkswagons and quickly became the advertising medium of choice for big businesses in America.
