Legal, drag racing in the 1950's.
A classic film about a reckless Hot-Rodder named "Mel" who becomes a law abiding citizen after losing a drag race (and his girl) at a legally supervised racing club. He races home and builds a new Hot-Rod and sets a new speed record. "Trophies instead of Traffic Tickets" is the theme. A bit corny but contains original, early 1950's drag racing footage with vintage hot-rods.

Excellent film that shows how to build a hot rod and enter it into a drag race - the Nationals in Detroit, MI. Includes actual footage of many early hot rods, crew preparation and drag racing. This film has high historical value and is considered the best film from the 1950's dealing with hotrods and drag racing. Even shows the Award ceremonies and trophies given out to the winners.

The lesson here is: "We are the other fellow to everyone else" - Use proper driving etiquette!

Highly collectible film for it's use of vintage die-cast model cars, trucks, trains, motor cycles, homes and scenery.
